What is Repointing?

Repointing is the process in which old, damaged/weathered joints, usually found on brickwalls or patio's are repaired with new infill. Most commonly the infill is a certain gauge of mortar.

The gauge will commonly consist of sand and cement and the amounts of each will effect the colour of the joints.

There are other materials that can be used to infill brickwork and patio joints such as lime mixes or Grouts with reactive fillers and additives such as Polybutadiene, Naphtha (petroleum), hydrodesulfurized heavy etc and other compounds.

We can guide you through what we feel is the most appropriate solution for you.

What do we Repoint?

We repoint houses, garages, extensions, interior walls, fireplaces, outbuildings, garden walls, boundary walls, steps, chimneys, patios, driveways, ponds, swimming pool edgings and other hard landscaping where the joints need repairing or replacing.
